I mean isn't it kinda expected tho? bundles are good, but I am sure vita as an org much prefer the cs system of getting club share + revenue share + frequent flyer programms of cs to's. (like pgl just paying you like 300k if you just accept an invite to their tournament if you are top 12 hltv).

Biggest reason are all the gamba sponsors

#8

it's fair to do that, but it's something u keep to yourself. riot might take that comment personally

#9

I feel like riot having to settle for FOKUS/SGE instead of vitality is a decision which harms riot more than vitality

as a corporation they can't concede now
vitality fans just lost their partnership

#36

yes they can bro this is real life, not high school petty drama

things dont work like that irl, if vit partnership benefits riot theyll do it. the tweet itself is a nothingburger, i just thought it was cool a ceo was so upfront and honest

#44

yeah and then enjoy having tier 2 orgs instead of tier 1 orgs as partners. vitality to sge is an insane downgrade

good, emea is a zero team region anyway

Would be surprised if they didn't make it tbh not many orgs better fit tbh

So I hope they will not be picked, this is straight up extortion, it's even more dum when in 2027 being partner doesnt bring a lot

#15
Nef0r0
0
Frags

it does bring a lot, you basically either make a net zero or a net positive, being a non partner is just a net negative.

#16

Not with the 2027 format, in 2027 you just earn a direct slot in closed qualifier

#22

ignore the competition, it is not nearly as important as the bundle clause. Bundle allows you to spend more, to fund the transfers, the bootcamps, the salaries, basically everything. if you are non-partnered you have to pay it from your own pocket. That is a huge net negative which is why neo said ''if we are not partnered, we are out''.

With the 2027 system non partner team that perf will probably earn more than a team that sell msot bundle but dont manage to go to inter. They also really did change the money repartition

100k for kickoff/cups, 200k for masters, 400k for champs is hilariously low for a competent roster. Also you can't just assume you will get this money, no one works this way in any sports.

So are you saying any nonbundle team are ded ?

#28
Nef0r0

yes pretty much. in order to win events, you need to field a good roster, competent coaches, fund bootcamps and battle through open qualifiers. having a bundle helps out by a lot, it basically funds your org. Having no bundle is a huge downside, you have to gamble. think of it this way. Imagine you open a restauarant, you have an investor, he tells you ''I will pay you 1 million dollars MINIMUM at the end of the year''. You will spend more on staff, design, products, etc. because you know you have a check coming, and you will buy the best because you want to maximize your profits from the investor. Now imagine there is no investor. You have to buy all of this on your own, and you will only get these benefits if you reach certain quotas.

Intresting POV I didnt saw that in that angle.

How mush do you think the bunker is in the team budget ? To me it was like 5% max, so it's help but it's not gamebreaker to make winner an looser

#43

probably like 40-60.
still val is lucrative because of the bundle, nothing else

not a single organization operates on ''what if we don't lose''

i mean vitality has spent the most in eu in this game, build competitive rosters every year and try their best. its kinda disrespectful NOT to pick them tbh. shows other org it doesnt matter if u have the best structure best mgmt most money, were vibe based

#18

How it would be direspectfull to not pick them if they are not best choice, not picking KC or M8 would be also disrespectfull ?

its not about french teams, vit is more than that at this point and if they get in it will probably be on a more international basis. its about stability and money. vit r loaded (ewc and gamba) and have like some of the best management in eu. i think one of kc/m8 get in regardless

#24

I'm not sure Vit have more money than KC and M8, M8 is currently having the msot view, they are no way Vit will be pick over M8

i mean i would rather not the scene devolve to tier 3 matchfixer type orgs, which is inevitable if u push out the big spenders who need financial incentives to somewhat sustain. stability at the top is important

#23

idgaf about that. doesn't matter to me how much you spend if you just spend badly. they've been in the scene for years and they never had a truly great project . won't be missed

i mean, they are probably getting a slot anyway, right? They are one of the biggest org in EU rn, hell i think fnatic is more likely to miss out than vit but that's just my opinion.
