Hey guys, haven't been as active as I would usually be cuz of the start of college and shit. Honestly, it's been such a roller coaster. Campus is good, roommates are good, food is SO American(fatty), and overall I'm enjoying it. I know there are a few of us on here that also started college so I just wanna hear about the other experiences cuz I have the time.

they actually do kinda. one time i was just standing around with my phone out trying to find smth and some guy thought i wanted to buy weed. he just left me alone after he realised i wasn’t there for the weed.

yeah pretty much every school in the US uses weed

honestly what was more surprising to me is how many people smoke straight cigarettes, because that was totally not a thing with the kids i'd grown up with

Looking back on college, I wish I'd taken advantage of the gym and dining halls more. literally unlimited exercise and food(? if buffet style). you'll miss it once you start working and living on your own

also becoming friends with your profs is really important. some of my friends have horror stories of trying to apply for jobs and grad school, and awkwardly realizing they have no one to ask for good rec letters

hope your dorm is a nice building, winter is coming !

second year college student here. i absolutely love it, and it's the best thing that has ever happened to me. i started vlr in 10th grade sitting in my honors latin class. currently, i'm on vlr during my biochemistry 1 class. it's so cool how life can change so drastically, but something like vlr stays constant throughout my life.
