He's a good sentinel player that has experience on the biggest possible stages, brings good energy, and has good comms
He dosent even have 1 rating and all he does is lurking and somehow still goes negative
He has a proven high ceiling, thats why they're sticking with him. He's had big-time performances on the international stage. They are just trusting he gets back in form rather than taking a risk with a replacement. Also he has crazy good synergy with the team, is a good comms player, and carries the teams energy
Those last big time performances was 2 years ago and about the energy Idk what you are talking about they are comeback'ed against almost any other game the vibes are shit

That would only matter if Benjy was old and his skill was fading. He's 22. If you're under 25 and you play Valorant 24/7, you dont magically get worse. Those performances 2 years ago are still proof he has a high ceiling, and can be part of a trophy-winning roster
Been asking for Benjy to get kicked since 2025 kickoff honestly, I don’t get the hype. He fell off hard after Shanghai, he’s just an ok player
during 2025, sure, but this year he was our best player at kickoff and london, and at worst top 2 in the final vs VIT (i.e. the only games that actually mattered this year for us)
because he's the "captain" of the team who carries all of the emotional burden, is the only member of the roster this year to not have an awful stage, is a top ~4 sentinel on the region that has the best sentinels, he is a good commer, he doesn't disappear in big games (which is half of the problems heretics have), and is likely the future IGL of the team since 1) all of his coaches call him a cerebral player 2) he has almost a decade of esports experience and 3) already does a heavy amount of secondary calling
unless you are replacing him with alfa or hiro it would be utterly pointless to sidegrade and lose all of that
Him not being awful is not a reason to keep. Being the leader that led them to absulutely nothing internationally and regionally (the stage 1 win was just carried by neon being OP an kosh doing a very good job).
top 4? He dosent even avarage 1 rating and all he does is lurking he is supposed to be the best player like meteor leaf etc.
He does absulutely dissappear in big games just look at the stats.
And how can he be the Igl when he can't even manage his own lurks?
If you actually looked at the stats you would see that:

How is that disappearing? The actually meaningful part of the regional format he is the highest rated player on the team?
furthermore he had the most clutches on the entire region (and 5th most clutches per round)

The majority of people would say the strongest members of this team are wo0t and riens, why are they both being outperformed by benjy in these big games?

he also isn't the "leader" in the way you mean, yes the overall strats weren't great this year, but guess who was calling! BOO! not benjy! he is carrying an increased burden of being the only member of the team to shout, stand up, get loud, when the team starts to falter. he has explicitly stated that he does this to try and boost his teammates confidence during the games, he is performing a role in order to boost how his teammates play and stop the choking. Normally, your IGL would take on this role. nAts does this, ethan does it, boaster does it....
I have watched every single round of every single heretics map for years, and any conclusion that involves blaming benjy for the teams stumbles are just plainly incorrect.
TH needs someone popular for the views. That and he can play duelist on the side.
