C9 built a team around him, he picked every player he wanted to play with him, and they ended up flopping hard, he only succeeded because he got a relatively stable team to hire him on a part of the scene where their playstyle couldn't be matched on that current meta. After the meta shifted towards another direction they couldn't get the same success and won't get anymore.
