instead of making the UI better (having to click 5 fucking buttons to check progress compared to just clicking on the agent tab to see the progress is insane) they would rather force you to play agents you probably don't want to play xDDDDDDDD

atp instaure a rule like Deadlock where you need the agent to be level 5 in gear to be able to play in ranked
Basically agent gear is some sort of agent battlepass.
Before you can just click a button saying : "When I play and get exp (different exp than lvl exp), I want my exp to go to this agent so I can get his collectible"
And once you complete the "battle pass" of the agent you'd get a pistol non animated skin of that agent with along the way the collectibles (cards, sprays, gun buddies, title...)
It was also this way you'd unlock agent, by taking the contract of this agent and reaching level 5.
They changed it in 2024 (I think) to work with Kingdom Credits (KC for short), now you needed to invest 8k KCs to unlock an agent without unlock the level 1-4 collectibles from the old system. You have to invest your KC independetly after unlocking the agent.
Now you would have to play said agent to unlock it's gear. Which is as bad as it sounds

isnt that exactly how other hero shooters do it? the only other game i play is rivals and there things like player cards and titles are locked to hero playtime so you can show off how much you one trick an agent
