what will people run now
as a baseline we use the mosquito comp ns won santiago with
waylay/yoru/sova/omen/cypher
in the current meta:
waylay could probably be replaced with jett since the main appeal of the mosquito duo is saturate + gatecrash and whatever else
maybe neon too but on abyss you like verticality a lot
yoru stays because more amd more people are playing him and he’s good for op lines and fast rotates on the big fucking map
sova no question
omen no question unless people think harbour is worth running over him now
cypher probably because he has the most immediate trips and stall for double duelist esp w neon running arojnd
double duelist: possibly -waylay +jett/neon -sova +fade, -omen +astra, cypher +vyse depending on the team, a lot of interchangeability on this
double controller: omen/viper, but could also see astra/harbour interchangeable with the two, this is either in place of the second dueli or sentinel if theyre running viper. NS was running omen/astra in place of cypher before they got ivy on it, g2 played astra/harbour with waylay/neon, there were even some teams playing brim/astra (m8, rrq)
double ini: nrg was running tejo/sova + omen/viper in santiago with waylay solo, t1 ran tejo/sova + waylay/yoru and astra solo
double senti: none in recent history but could probably see a sage/chamber i guess. but with how vertically open abyss is i think the dives of today would have no problem getting past everything hence why it’s not used
