im not putting my goat in the hands of “sevire” the same guy whose igling got 13-0 by a reyna comp while having alfajer on the team
we just got 26-6'd by "KC" with your goat on the team i think theres more pressing issues
we 13-0’d eternal fire literally last week, Boo is not the problem and changing the roster that’s existed for 3 years is likely only going to make things worse
genuinely curious as to what you think the problem is then
koshmaras is shit but suygetsu is pretty ass and they just steamrolled us, having one bad player does not cause issues to this extent
also sevire doesn't even have to IGL necessarily he's just a decently competent smokes flex
the issue doesn’t have to be one player or staff member, we don’t need to scapegoat someone because that will never fix the problem, i think koshmaras underperforming and a lack of ideas seems to be what’s making them lose, they just rely on individuality at times with little direction because a lot of the rounds they were losing is okay two get caught mid peeking one by one now we lost the round
everyone is talking about koshmaras quad neg but very few people mentioned wo0t double neg, if he has an off day then yes the team is doomed and lewn also had a career game, not much you can really do against that
im sorry but if the goal is to win titles you can't chalk up losing to a ~3rd best team in the region 26-6, and its deeper than just "losing games"
if you look at the way we actually play the game the majority of the time we win rounds its just individual brilliance it isnt coherent teamplay, and the IGL has to take responsibility for that
go back and watch sunset defense side vs KC and count how many rounds Boo takes an aggro fight on A main on barrier drop (which he clearly isn't suited for). his entire strategy is to play the aggressive omen a la Keiko or Tenz but he just isn't good enough individually to justify that. You can basically r=1 correlate the rounds we won/lost on if he insta gets a 2k or if he dies insta and we have no smokes past 1:25
Why run a team if you don't want to win? We can't accept being an okay team that just has to hold being demolished against a "career game" like that, if Riens is as good as you think he is (I think he is) do you think he will be satisfied winning 0 international games in a full year? Does wo0t want to be in roles limbo moving around for a guy who, respectfully, is dropping keznit numbers and can't get a first blood? He is the EU eggsterr except he didn't 'win his slot', he was chosen and could be removed at any time. Does benjy want to sit at home and watch his friends go to Shanghai?
The core three players of Riens/Benjy/Wo0t can still do damage on the international stage, Boo was a great caller and he had his moment but he just cannot lead a team in this meta and state of the game. It's unfortunate but Riot moved the game in this direction. We cannot just hope the meta shifts. It will not drastically change before at least 2027 when literally every remaining member bar Koshmaras is out of contract then. Why would Riens re-sign to an org that doesn't show ambition when he can go to basically any team on the planet, get a payrise, and win a trophy?
Sometimes you have to take a risk and cut ties. We don't have time to sit around and hope things will improve when there is no logical reason for them to. Koshmaras is not mechanically good enough nor does he have strong agent mastery outside of a nerfed Neon, so he must improve before he is tier one ready. That's fine, go grind tier 2. Boo has not adapted to this meta and is individually weak, it's unfortunate but he was great once. Nobody can outrun Father Time.
The goal is to WIN.
I’m all for dropping Koshmaras for one of the 26 better available duelists from all four regions, but who could truly replace Boo? Someone who the entire system has been built around for four years? He’s shown his ability to beat the best teams in the world, which no other available IGL has. He plays controller, which is important so he doesn’t steal Riens’ role (aside from the Lotus shenanigans), what other available igl has played at a world class level and is comfortable on controller? I’m a conservationist, I believe roster moves shouldn’t be made unless there is a strong upgrade currently available, and there just isn’t for Boo ~ and even if there was an igl at a similar level, the time to get him acclimated to the team environment and ideas would be nowhere near what is needed to win champions. Wo0t has been on god knows what agents recently, just stick this guy on jett and chamber and call it a day, Koshmaras is having a stroke on whether he wants to keep playing Neon or leave it behind, and Benjy is just getting better and better at his role and could be easily a top sentinel player if the team could just stay alive long enough for him to activate. Boo overpeeking is SO fixable, if wo0t was in his feet he just kills 2 every time but it’s just not needed to die at 1.38
