I turned that video off after like the first 3 minutes, it's just not fun for me to min-max this kind of game, also i play on the hard mode, so his video isn't applicable or maybe he covered it later in the video, idk I turned it off. I just enjoy rotating as many words as possible

You can turn it on in the settings, basically you can just use letters that weren't marked as incorrect and you must use letters that were marked as correct. You also get a star in the copy paste after you finish it lol

The guy made a follow up video where he adresses an error in his program, and that crane isn’t actually the best starter.

He also said that the best starting word he found isn’t necessarily the best for humans. It’s only the best for an AI that knows the optimal follow up words for each situation, so you shouldn’t feel like you’re being unoptimal by not using it.

Yeah I watched that too, I agree with the points he made about not recommending some people to follow the 'advice' he gave but I am forever doomed to be a meta slave using 'salet' (which to be fair was a word I knew prior to wordle). I do this in most games though so it is probably a me issue
