it's like the eagerness to learn.
in cs/c eng memorization is a bit less but more like trying to solve problems
I did it as a high school? (not sure on equivalent to a levels) subject it was fun I liked it but I can't do anything past the theory I found it quite hard unfortunate people just use Ai these days it feels so fun to do it yourself right
yeah that's the eagerness to learn part
like as a kid you want to play football, you have an eagerness to play right
but when you become a professional, you have to eat properly, drink properly, sleep properly, train properly, that's all because the professionals still have eagerness to play the game, it's the same for comp eng.
at first you like to do small things like use ur comp, copy codes and stuff, memorize but then you grow old and you have this eagerness to like why this happens, like why the computer boots up, or why the software runs and how it runs, it all depends on a person's hunger to learn, so tip for young people is to be curious and keep having this eagerness to learn
