10/10 Personally but it depends on the type of person you are (also get the game for free on web archives, the “devs” kicked the actual people who made the game)
ah i see, will pirate it then
also, is there engaging gameplay or just clicking through dialogue
its mostly dialogue but with gameplay systems that expand the dialogue ig you can call it.
if you like novels, light hearted and thoughtful, you'll love this game. this is a very slow game with a lot of reading, if youre into it just go for it or else you can play rue valley. its art style and gameplay is just like disco elysium but more interesting and engaging.;. you can start there
the mixed reviews are pretty much specifically because the actual creators don't get paid, so yea pirate unless you're a huge steam achievement nut or whatever. Fun game.
The game is amazing, borderline a masterpiece, but ultimately something thats impossible to recommend buying.
If youre interested theres a ton of videos discussing the treatment of the original writers by the publishers ZA/UM; but tldr is that if you buy the game youre supporting a greedy and immoral company, instead of the people who actually made the game.
The high seas are morally correct for this game.
