Who are buying FNC?

I originally thought it was 2 German Football Clubs, but apparently its one German Club and one unknown. (I could be misreading it again. might just be 2 German ones but i think its 1)

Was thinking about who it could be. The German one I was thinking Dortmund/RB Leipzig. The unknown one, I could see it being Newcastle United tbh.

They are owned by PIF and RB Sports & Media (Saudi money & British big money family. so wouldnt care about the risks of not making profit straight away), and FNC are a British org.

I was mainly thinking that because EWC is chaired by the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. The owners of Newcastle might've seen that and wanted to get into esports. Saw that FNATIC is for sale and its already got a prominent brand within esports, so would skip the tedious work to build up an esports brand. Maybe seen that other football clubs got into esports (Wolves/Schalke). FNC also being a British org probably makes it easier to manage since they already operate in the UK. Plus Newcastle would probably want the already cemented fan base, they aint exactly the most popular/known team itw compared to others. (only got 1.1 million more followers on twitter than FNC even though majority of football fans know them)

probably just chatting out my arse with most of this and its just gonna be some random club that can somehow afford to get close to 100mil to buy them out. (if it does happen)

From what I know, they hired an advisory firm (sports related firm) which doesn't really happen unless they know for sure that they want/have a deal (i think) I'm not saying its happening 100%, but its rumoured that 2 football clubs are talking to them, one german, the other unknown iirc.

the source is some guy i think related to league. he said FNC arent doing off season changes cause of the deal, so take it with a grain of salt ig.

i think if it was leipzig it would actually be just red bull themselves buying it. they have a foot on e-sports already and their brand is all about being very proeminent on sports in general, they might want to put another one

yeah i thought of that aswell which is why i put dortmund. a german football club buying them and not it being something related to redbull (redbull backed club/austrian club/austrian conglomerate instead of german club) plus red bull likes to have "red bull" in the name of whatever they own. A rebrand on FNC would basically ruin the point of the deal tbh.

unless red bull didnt buy them outright and just bought some shares it could be a merge like FNC x Redbull something like RB FNC or something lol.
