They're owned by Kroenke, which also owns the LA Gladiators (OWL) and the LA Guerrillas (COD).

The best comparison I can make for them is an org like Version1 or Andbox, who some people may think are new but are actually owned by massive parent companies who have been invested in Esports for a while.
