Yeah he was scary and great.
Even I thought my ex was the best thing every happened to me until I got over her to realize others are great too.
Just because you found others that were great doesn't mean your ex wasn't the best thing for you maybe it just wasn't the right time.
But we can’t dwell in past and look for other options. Isn’t it hypocritical of people to say that teams are re-cycling washed t1 talent instead of giving t2 players a chance to only want yay back again
On a real no T2 players are getting hella picked up now and it's important most of the VCT teams right now are built from rookie T2 players but you do also need some veteran presence as well you always need a mix.
C9 has a good initator now
A good smokes
A Flex/IGL player
An insane duelist player.
They're missing a great 2nd duelist/Chamber player/Sentinel player.
Out of your options yay is the best T1 option unless I'm forgetting someone but if you wanna go T2 son of car and others like that is a shout.
A player like demon1 would be nice and yay and demon1 agent pool is quite shit but the agents they do play are insanely high level.
I’ve seen tho from top chamber players like demon1 yay cryo. Cryo and demon1 have hard time adapting to other sentinels. Makes me wonder how consistent yay would do on non chamber sentinel role as all sentinels are getting a buff now so chamber will be out of the picture. If you are looking for a sentinel player all together I’d give shoutout to players who actually main that role
I would agree and yay is a great normal sentinel check the last year EG games.
Inspire would be a better sentinel for sentinel option but the difference is C9 is really limiting their comps and roles because Inspire isn't a duelist player and isn't a better Chamber than yay or demon1.
Right now C9 need a really good senti player that can also flex into a duelist ideally because they have lost a 2nd duelist and don't have a star power sentinel player.
Better to focus on that and zellsis can flex around the support roles as needed Jack stays initator, Note stays smokes/duelist but they would need a smokes player and oxy stays duelists.
my opinion anyway they will pick up whoever they think is best. But I think a sentinel/2nd duelist flex is their best option.
Then they can double duelist,Double initator,double smokes any comp and they have the pieces needed and no role issues
Oh yeah I forgot they need a secondary duelist player. Notexxd flexed to iso the other day but he didn’t look as good.
I thought yay was taken off senti role on EG in 2025 stage 2 because it wasn’t his strong suit. If you see all the stage 2 games he has only played Jett Clove brim & chamber the entire stage. Thats not really convincing to have him on sentinel role when other sentinels are back to their strong state.
Also, does yay even play valorant currently? I haven’t even seen him be on any streamer’s ranked team recently. Inspire is a good shoutout.
Ye we're in a double duelist meta right now so it's quite big but it could be a little less needed with initiator buffs maybe we will see.
The reason he was swapped off was because yays jett was insane and his chamber was insane so potter would randomly start shuffling the comps like a deck of cards that's why on some maps we saw for example icebox we had yay jett and icy sentinel. The clove on lotus I think was some gimmick shit. yay was playing cypher on pearl and played insane. I think the problem was the comps were so random yay was playing like 7 different agents on different maps like a full flex.
I mean he has been playing ranked like 2 weeks ago on his main and been doing so a while before that as for the sentinel he might be rusty? But C9 now have like 2 months for him to warm back up to form and grind which I think is more than enough.
Again he's not the only option but I do think he fits decently well plus because he's played with zellsis before as well and zellsis came out and said yay was a great teammate when the yay DSG drama happened.
It would be possible if C9 and yay didn't have drama but I still think that shit is still sour
do you consider support initiators incredibly important in the meta atm? if so then its impossible.
