yeah ewc has always been weird with streaming early rounds. like they probably dont have the infrastructure set up yet for every single match when half these teams are still getting their rosters settled. once it hits groups or knockouts itll be different but first stage is more like a qualifier warm up so i get why theyd skip it. still lowkey lame for people who actually want to watch
whole year to fix that btw. but it genuinely doesn't sound that difficult to have multiple observers .
i get the point but like, multiple observers isnt actually the hard part. the issue is usually licensing or whoever owns the broadcast rights being weird about which matches get streamed. you could have ten observers ready to go but if the rights holder says no early rounds thats just it. some orgs and qualifying bodies are way stricter about that stuff than others and ewc has always been kinda all over the place with it. its frustrating yeah but thats more of a business decision than a setup problem
