Again let's not act like jdg wasn't looking worse in worlds. 369 was struggling a lot with meta change and also let's not forget that stats like win rate means shit for top teams in worlds. Like there is hardly any competition for top teams in worlds out of top 4-5. Jdg struggled to even beat kt to even face t1. Again not downplaying the play of faker but that's not the most iconic moment in league esports let alone whole of esports. Again tho I am considering only worlds as whole for this not considering how jdg or t1 looked before worlds cause of how much change there is every event cause of meta changes.

Also are we really gonna say lng or wbg were actually big competition for t1? I am not trying to downplay t1 run but it's so overrated imo and also lot of recency bias to consider it the greatest moment in all of esports history.

They did look worse in Worlds and they weren't as crazy invincible as they were the whole season but they did still look good enough to be the overwhelming favourites for the tournament. It's not like they were a completely different team. 369 was struggling a lot but Knight and Ruler both looked like Thanos.

I mean, considering T1 looked fucking awful heading into Worlds and this was before everyone realised T1 were bright light merchants, at the time LNG at least looked like they could beat them. I'll give you WBG though.

T1's 2023 worlds run is overrated. I think the only run in league that deserves the glaze is DRX 2022, but that game vs JDG was absolutely as magical as they say it is because the narratives that went into that single series are insane.
