g2 are still horrible. they look much better once slotting babybay into chamber and giving jawgemo his original role back. however going from double initator to single duelist single initator single sentinel is going to make vayln instalock astra(second pseudo initator). G2 are probably gonna drop either jawg or leaf and pickup a initator.

No, to even qualify they have to be better than plenty of teams from their region, and they went to beat two top seed who are better than all of their region only losing to and experience top Pacific team and upcoming(unbeatable )1st seed Pacific team. I understand G2 greatness is expected but it doesn't warrant slander disguise as a critic

the best way i can explain it to you is comparing aspas's entry which is about maybe 2 or 3 pieces or util to set him up compared to a player like miniboo who just needs a prowler and hes already at the back of ur neck.

I think part of the argument against dropping jawg for an initiator is that double init kinda stinks rn (unless your nrg but they are clearly the exception) another issue is that who would become the solo duelist on that team because while babybay has shown he can play waylay his agent pool is really small. Babybay’s agent pool is also kind of just a worse overlap of leaf and jawg with the waylay, little bit of yoru and chamber. Leaf is an incredible chamber. All this said I think G2 are fine even if the style they must play isn’t ideal this meta isn’t ideal for them (the slow team) but they will keep improving with JoshRT at coach and Valyn igl
duelist nerf is bringing back initator meta. wait until masters is over for the updates.
If single duelist double initiator does return jawgemo plays all the duelists significantly better than babybay, I think your right on jawg not always being the sacrificial lamb send it in player like miniboo but g2s style just doesn’t call for that much, I hope they keep the team together but jawg is a better pure duelist than babybay. If we remember also he hasn’t played this role in well over a year since he played permanent solo yoru all last year
no way either of them getting dropped. jawgemo is their selfless duelist willing to throw his body for the team. leaf is a very consistent aimer on every role he plays and very good to the role too. if someone's gonna get dropped it's babybay for someone who can flex between duelist and another role
