In Shanghai, China, the Mercedes-Benz Arena (or Oriental Sports Center, whichever one they pick) is packed with Valorant fans, waiting to watch the Champions 2026 Grand Finals. Millions watching it online, 590,000 views on YouTube, 411,000 on Twitch, and 3,500,500 on Huya and other Chinese streaming services. MIBR vs. Paper Rex. MIBR had been dominating the upper bracket, with aspas focused on one thing and one thing only after winning London: become the second player with three trophies and the second 2 times Champs winner, wnd cement himself as the indisputable GOAT of Valorant. Zekken is also looking to be the first non LOUD core member with both a Masters and Champions trophy. Meanwhile, Paper Rex is looking to prove themselves after running an EMEA gauntlet in the lower bracket, beating Fnatic, GIANTX and Karmine Corp after losing to Karmine Corp in the upper semis, and lift Pacific’s first Champions trophy, and give invy his first international VCT trophy after they lost the Santiago finals against DRX and got 3rd in London losing to Team Liquid who were on a miracle run.
Map 1 begins. We start on Abyss. PRX’s permaban. This should be a free game for MIBR in theory. But with the help of Wendler’s coaching helping PRX’s Abyss, it wasn’t gonna go that easily, even if MIBR did win it 13-10, thanks to aspas on the OP
Map 2 then follows. Sunset. Paper Rex then make a 2-10 comeback after being shaky on Attack to take it 13-11.
We then enter Map 3: Ascent. A shaky map for Paper Rex. But they did make it close for sure. MIBR take it 16-14.
This takes us to Map 4: Dome, an indoor map located in Guangzhou. Announced at Masters London. PRX take it 15-13 in a very intense game.
Finally, Map 5 begins. Lotus. It’s a slugfest all the way through. For every round MIBR wins, PRX wins one. For every two rounds PRX win, MIBR wins two. Concluding in a 12-12 scoreline. In the blink of an eye, it changes to a 16-16 scoreline. Anyone’s game. 17-16 in Paper Rex’s favour, but MIBR are not going to let it go that easy. Something remains in a 1v3 scenario against aspas, zekken and mazino. He hits shots on zekken and mazino. aspas vs. something. aspas peeks something, and something gets the kill, winning Paper Rex the entire tournament. The entire crowd cheers as they lift the trophy, something earns the MVP, and PRX finally have a Champs trophy.
The greatest grand finals of all time.

actually I made a mistake: DRX won London, MIBR won Santiago. Vision was confusing.
