LESS SKILL GAP + THIS TOURNAMENT HAS BEEN CRAZY

kinda crazy how the skill gaps between all the regions has reduced recently(proved by this tournament)

Vivo keyd beat finalists of the tournament(acend) if it were not for the cam bug. and let's be honest here, it's not like that cam provided a lot of value or something. they would've won if they had not used that cam anyways.

Vikings almost beat Gambit(potential finalist) they were at 12-5 and got absolutely unlucky.

furia almost beat sen who almost beat team liquid.
what I'm saying is, that all the matches were close. this is great for where the future of valorant esports is headed.

I feel Brazil has improved massively, just they got super unlucky.

let's talk about sea now. I don't think I have to say anything.

vs matches were close too. jp is new to the scene so they did pretty good.

the things is, there is so less room for error in valorant, that a small mistake at let's say 5-8 can cause you the entire game and furthermore the following matches which affect the bracketline greatly

Absolutely, it's been a great tournament performance wise. There were so many teams that were looking shaky leading up to Champs but who put on great performances none the less

I think bo5 playoffs would be better in the future. Because indeed in Valorant mistakes much more costly. And games are actually not that long for players to become exhausted even with OTs every map.

A lost to B who beat C so, A should beat C.

actual monkey logic. I agree it was a competitive tournament, but the whole Vivo Keyd copium is a jarate; best left unopened.

Yo you didn't mention the fact that KRÜ is on semis and KRÜ is from SA a region that's far worse from BR in the gaming aspect
In the majority of games that have an established competitive scene around the world BR ends up being better than SA being Valorant the only exception.
Furia is popping off in the CS scene, and there are many examples of succesful Brazilian teams and Players compared to SA.
Faze won last R6 major with an entirely Brazilian roster.
There are more Fortnite pros over South-American pros
In general BR is over SA but in Valorant it's different and that's a really important thing to notice
As KRÜ's coach Onur said: "If Brazil is a shitty region South-america is even more than shitty"

LATAM is not that much below BR, they all train together and KRU, Leviathan, and 9z are teams at the same level as tier 1 BR

This starxo was completely different than the one against VK. It seems ACE has grown thanks to the Brazilian hate

I think it's depending in the game but in most of the cases BR is above SA

I think Gambit was just better than VKS (mental and comebacks are accountable for matches, you are supposed to be able to close matches like that), but apart from that I agree with you. It was a incredible run!

I feel very sorry for LAS and LAN in R6, for them to go to the Six Invitional they have to go to the semifinals of the Six Cup which is literally a super tough challenge since every Brazilian team today in R6 is a contender to be champion. In Valorant, on the other hand, we have become LAS' customers, and I hope the level increases even more so that we from South America can dominate this game and not have to go to Europe to do bootcamps to improve.

I saw Yugure saying a month ago in this thread that there was no "weak region" anymore, and that Champions would be amazing because of that. I agree with that comment, and I'm saying again: another region outside NA/EMEA will be crowned as the new major champion in the next year. All the regions has shown improvement when comparing to Iceland and Berlin. 2022 and beyond are looking really great for the Valorant scene.

nah, I think they're like the south americans from APAC. Their style (seeing from a viewer that watch mostly NA/EMEA/BR/KR regions) seems like a BR stylish with a chaotic type o gameplay but not relying on aim too much, but more on rotations. X10C did that, TS did that and FS tried to do. Brazil and LATAM are regions that rely on aim and high-tempo/momentum, SEA looks like a high-tempo region but based on fast map rotations and lots of fake rotations.

SEA and APAC region have good aim on par with other good regions but their confidence is very low their mental breaks easily so they rely more on the ability aspects and rotations to counter better aim on the enemy side, if SEA and APAC regions catch up to other regions in Aim game then they can be the best in the world because they already play Valorant more on the Team side then on 1v1s.
