preface:
- interceptor has no activation delay, can be used reactively when util is thrown (e.g. see yoru flash, activate interceptor, destroy yoru flash)
- interceptor only destroys util up to 20m
- interceptor only destroys util that it has a direct line of sight to
- even if you place util after the interceptor is activated, it will destroy the util no matter what
Astra: utility completely unaffected.
- but do take note that the interceptor can be smoked off to prevent it from destroying your team's util (general rule for controllers)
Breach: utility completely unaffected.
- you can flash the interceptor though
Brimstone: STIM BEACON + MOLLY will be destroyed.
- smokes can be used to smoke off the interceptor, ult can be used to destroy the interceptor.
Chamber: TRIP + TP will be destroyed.
Clove: DECAY will be destroyed.
- smokes can be used to smoke off the interceptor
Cypher: 6 interactions to note
- CLOSE TRIPS (yk how when you walk close to a cypher trip, you can see it) will be destroyed.
- FAR TRIPS will be destroyed WHEN THEY ARE ACTIVATED (someone steps in them).
- TRIPS PLACED WITHIN 20m will be destroyed no matter what.
- CAMERA will be destroyed upon usage (if you tap the cam within 20m of the interceptor, it's gone).
- THROWN CAGES (they're mid-air, haven't settled on the ground yet) will be destroyed.
- cages that are already on the ground are fine, they can be deployed as usual
Deadlock: 4 interactions to note (all 4 util)
- WALL will be destroyed (targetting unclear, but eventually some section of the wall/the whole wall) after a short amount of time.
- SONIC SENSORS that trigger will be destroyed before they can stun an enemy.
- GRAVNET immediately destroyed while airborne.
- ULTIMATE COCOON will be destroyed after a short amount of time, the laser probably does an insanely high damage over time, same with the deadlock wall/sage wall as said later
Fade: ALL NORMAL UTIL (dog, seize, eye) immediately destroyed.
- ult is unaffected obviously
GEKKO: ALL UTIL (mosh, wingman, dizzy, thrash) ONE-SHOTTED. rip gekko mains
- util can be picked up like normal
Harbour: 2 interactions relating to COVE to note. the rest of the util is fine
- COVE SHIELD will be destroyed over time.
- AIRBORNE COVES (thrown while interceptor active) will be destroyed.
Iso: 2 interactions to note. rest of the util (undercut, wall, shield, arena) is unaffected.
- suppressing the INTERCEPTOR does nothing, but suppressing VETO will prevent him from activating the interceptor for a short period of time, and the interceptor will visually become "disabled", similar to how vyse util looks after she dies
- if an interceptor is active, it will destroy DOUBLE TAP ORBS (the ones you shoot to extend your shield). damn.
Jett: 2 interactions to note relating to smoke. rest of the util is unaffected (knives are fine)
- smokes already on the ground will not be destroyed when interceptor is activated
- SMOKES BEING THROWN (airborne, still controllable) will be destroyed.
KAY//O: ALL NORMAL UTIL (molly, flash, knife) will be destroyed.
- however, if you can suppress veto before he activates the interceptor, he will be suppressed and unable to activate the interceptor similar to Iso's undercut interaction.
Killjoy: similar to Cypher. 5 interactions to note.
- TURRET will be destroyed.
- ALARMBOT will be destroyed WHEN IT ACTIVATES.
- similar to cypher, INVISIBLE UTIL WITHIN SIGHT RANGE (the range where you can see the unactivated molly/alarmbot on the ground) will be destroyed.
- similar to cypher's cage, dormant mollies outside sight range can be activated as normal, but THROWN MOLLIES (mid-air) will be destroyed.
- LOCKDOWN WILL BE DESTROYED OVER TIME (~1s). if there is an already-active lockdown, putting an interceptor down next to it and activating it WILL destroy the ult.
Neon: STUN will be broken. rest of util is fine.
- the "bolt" that neon's wall follows will be destroyed by the interceptor. idk how that's useful tho
Omen :DDDD MY MAIN IS SAFEEEEEE
- 0 util will be broken
- as with all controllers, you can smoke off the interceptor to prevent it from getting a line of sight onto other util
- paranoia is completely unaffected, in fact you can NEARSIGHT the active interceptor
- ult is fine too, you can ult next to an active interceptor and it won't shoot you
Phoenix: MOLLY + FLASH will be destroyed. rest of util is unaffected
- your wall can not only block the line of sight of the interceptor,
- you can use the wall's damage to BREAK the interceptor by listening to the sounds it makes and throwing your wall through the main wall or the wall in front of wherever the interceptor is placed.
RAZE: ALL UTIL (roomba, satchel, grenade, rocket) WILL BE DESTROYED AS THEY'RE THROWN :(
- i suspect that if there's already a satchel on the ground it gets destroyed too
Reyna: BLIND will be destroyed.
- soul orbs unaffected, different from iso orbs
- however, EYES OUTSIDE 20M will not be destroyed and will nearsight interceptor as usual.
Sage: SLOW will get destroyed. 2 interactions to note with wall, heal/res unaffected.
- an already-placed wall (solid) breaks in ~4s
- a wall that's being placed (forming) breaks in ~1s
Skye: DOG, FLASH, CABBAGES will be destroyed.
- i suspect flashes outside 20m will blind the interceptor as usual though and won't be destroyed
Sova: ALL NORMAL UTIL (drone, shock, recon) will be destroyed.
- his ult can be used to break the interceptor through walls, see Phoenix
Tejo: ALL NORMAL UTIL (drone, stun, missiles) will be destroyed.
- ult can be used to break interceptor, see Phoenix
Veto: 4 interactions to note.
- TP destroyed as usual (it's visible)
- TRAPS WITHIN SIGHT RANGE (see Cypher/KJ) will be destroyed
- traps outside sight range won't be destroyed
- INTERCEPTOR can be destroyed by interceptor.
- the already-active interceptor will destroy another thrown/dormant interceptor as usual
- if 2 interceptors become active/gain a line of sight to each other at the same time, 50/50 which one is destroyed first
Viper: 3 interactions to note
- already-thrown orbs on the ground won't be destroyed and can be used normally
- THROWN ORBS (mid-air) will be destroyed.
- MOLLY will be destroyed mid-air
- wall and ult are fine
Vyse: 2 interactions to note
- FLASH will be destroyed WHEN ACTIVATED/IN SIGHT RANGE (see Cypher/KJ)
- THORNS IN SIGHT RANGE will be destroyed (see Cypher/KJ)
- wall and ult are fine
Waylay: SATURATE will be destroyed. everything else is fine
- i wonder if the ult hinders the interceptor though
Yoru:
- clone is unaffected
- teleports IN SIGHT RANGE (see Cypher/KJ) will be destroyed
- POPPED BLINDS (ONLY AFTER THE BLIND HITS A WALL) will be destroyed
- this is because pre-popped blinds are completely invisible
- you can throw a deep flash (20m+) into site and it's fine
overall this one ability just destroys almost, if not every single initiator in the game
curious to know though, which current agent mains would learn veto well? personally judging solely off the gameplay trailers omen mains would have a fun time with this one.
