Opinion on Valorant Esports system

What do you think about the VALORANT esports system? Do you like how it works, or would you prefer to see changes?

Example: Would you like to see VALORANT move towards a more "open" esports system, where instead of Tier 1 and Tier 2 being fully handled by Riot Games, it's more like Counter-Strike, where each tournament is hosted by independent organizers and teams are selected based on a Global Power Ranking (like the one VALORANT recently released) and through qualifiers? This would give smaller teams a better chance to compete in Tier 1 tournaments and add more variety to the teams we see, instead of the same usual ones.

i think they should do like china, they have many tournaments for teams that didnt qualify for big tournaments or even tournaments while waiting for champs, all organized by riot china, the cs esport system is very compact (many games) and it could be hard for players to keep up

In my oppinion there are upps and downs with this system.

They system currently in place is easy to follow and also has quite a few games which makes it possible for me to have a life(Just kidding)

However I would like to see it changed since the system in CS is very open and free. For example non Riot events takes priority when multable evens are on and they are not allowed to be streamed. Thats why it was not possible to watch some of the Esports World Cup games. A more open system would allow for unknown talent to be seen and more games to be played which I would love to happen.

Since we are currently in a partned era I don't think the system will change now however in the latest months Riot has become more positive against stuff the were compleatly against before so we will see. However I think it will be after 2027 when the parterd teams ends.

More games, either like how CN does with tournaments for non-qualifying teams or just longer stages in general so we see all match-ups

I would remove masters and kick off events.

This would make champions more fun and valuable since its the only time in the year where all the teams from the world can compete.

Kind of how the football world cup works. If you have a world cup every year then the championship it's not worth that much anymore.

This would also allow for longer seasons in domestic leagues

Right now you have FRANCHISED teams that play less than 10 official matches a year. You can make a league where every team plays each other in a double round Robin, which would be the entire season, and have every team play at least 22 matches every year. This helps sponsors and long term projects.

I would also allow academies to ascend, but only if they choose so.
Let me explain. If you're an academy and you qualify for ascension, you can choose whether to play it or not. If you choose to play it and you win, your players can't go to your main team, you have to sell the spot including the players to another org. Maybe you can keep 1 player, I don't know, but this allow for more investment in tier 2.
If you choose not to play ascension then you can have your players just as it is now.

Well I would like to see 16 teams at each masters and 20 teams playing at champs. This would give teams more insentive to work right from kickoff to make the events.
