What does NRG have to do to make champs?

top 2 in playoffs, or:
NRG needs:
both SEN and G2 to make top 2, MIBR, KRU, C9, 100T, and EG to all not make playoffs or get top 4, NRG then need to make top 4 and win their final game
why can't MIBR, KRU, C9, or 100T make playoffs?
i thought playoff wins don't give champs points until the top 4 -- so even if they do make it, they just have to lose out/not make top 4
or am i misunderstanding something
