It's not America, it's korea they follow specific social rules like you can't talk back to your senior/ superior otherwise you're considered pretty rude. Not defending stax , buzz and Autumn. But this imo why he doesn't TalkBack as much .

bullshit, there are multiple instances where he was directly asked to speak up more, i understand it was probably hard to do so in that environment but going forward it is something he MUST do

I hope that with all the flaming T1 has received from fans, it makes sylvan realize that he wasn't in the wrong completely and thus allows him to speak up. The main issue with the Korean social culture is that it makes sylvan implicitly think he's wrong since it's people with like 5x his experience critiquing him and thus he can't be right (basically learned helplessness in a sense). Like, why would he talk back if he's 'wrong'? However, like a bunch of people mentioned, he wasn't completely wrong most of the time. It is a team game at the end of the day, so he needs to justify his plays with conviction. Even if it is wrong, just being like "I had a bad read, but my thought process was x, y, and z, which is why I did what I did" is so much better than accepting that he was straight up wrong, since it's better to see WHY you were wrong than just that you were wrong.
