Leaks say there will onyl be 2 masters and a champions
masters 1 in april and masters 2 in june/july, LCQ in august and champs in september/october. Rest of the year wasnt leaked but there will be riot tournaments held as said. I hope it will be something like ignition series wich was great because every 2nd weekend there was a tier 1 tournament will all good team of a region, nice formats and decenz price money.

So until september we insted of 3 masters get: 2 masters, LCQ + champs. Wich is much better.

But I hope they end the year with some sort of ignition series (with a different name ofc) ending in an international LAN.
Maybe like 4 big tournaments where each winner gets into a final qualifier for an internaional LAN where every region sends their best team so in total 8 teams (if south asia joins as a region or joins SEA and OCE joins) because only havin 3 international LANs wouldnt be cool.

Nah, maybe viewership is better in september. It doesnt matter when the tournament is held, one year between champions remains 1 year if you keep it in the same month

Sad but necessary, when a company starts doing many championships, people get used to watching. When the company decides to do championships with a long waiting time, the ''super hype'' appears. An example of this is CSGO Major, everyone gets anxious.
Another example is the Champions League, the longer you wait for games, the more tension is created.
And Riot has to make a flexible schedule, a lot of players have their lives and families, I bet a lot of players have their lives underprivileged because of the calendar in some regions.

ngl I agree, Dota has been dead for past year but 2.5+Million viewership for TI10
They were building the hype.

well that makes sense because why would you hold a regional masters after having 3 international LAN previous year. all competitive VAL hosted by Rito might become international from next year including game changers.
