yep, that's what happens when there's no official tournaments outside VCT, and if you don't make it to LANs you get pretty much nothing, not even any exposure to regional fans

Australs had no sponsorship deals. KRU does good mainly cuz Agüero is there supporting since the beginning, but in general, Latam including Brazil has some serious strugles keeping rosters and paying the needed money.

There are a lot of examples, LDM scandal which kept the whole Valorant roster in inhuman conditions.
The Vorax - Havan Liberty fusion in order to ensure the future of the organizations.
And a lot more.

Outside of the elite teams, Latam is really on a precarious situation.

Sadly, this type of movement is happening in all regions besides NA and BR with teams that didn't qualify to Champions.

Riot should propose a better calendar for next year. This one made it almost impossible to survive if you couldn’t compete in VCT finals and some cases failure to classify for a Masters or the Champions = disband.

Even in Europe you had just a few decent tournaments outside VCT, I think VCT should be shorter and Masters should be in 2 weeks after VCTs are done. Is it much more intense? Yes, but it will open space for tournaments like ESL Pro League, BLAST, IEM which are very very profitable and can expand the scene a lot.

That's for sure. But Riot likes to monopolize their product, and that is not a good move in short terms, when the ecosystem is not yet on a mature state.
