Orgs Swapping Regions?

With NiP looking towards building a roster in Brazil, do we think that other EU/NA orgs will potentially swap to less competitive regions in order to get a better chance of qualifying for big events like Masters/Champions?

Examples:
Gen.G --> KR
IMT --> BR (mibr)
T1 --> KR
FPX --> CN
RNG --> OCE
TSM --> JP/BR/India (just imagine)

I hope so, NA/EU is heavily stacked, it will be nice for the competitiveness to see NiP, GenG etc in international tournaments constantly

saw this idea, a team with big money could move to a tiny region and make a super team. i think that's what nip will do

Why would geng and t1 switch?
They came to NA to have a representation in NA for money that isnt in KR ,they wont go back to Korea

Both T1 and Gen.G haven't really achieved much in NA so far:
Gen.G - Consistently a top 8 team; however, not much more (never really saw them qualifying for LANS)
T1 - have spent millions in NA yet still have an unsuccessful roster

These orgs might technically have a better team in NA/EU, but at the end of the day, it's a business

What they really want is to make it to that international stage in order to be viewed by as many people as possible (for sponsors)
It's a lot easier to make it to said world stage when you are only competing against 2-4 good teams, rather than 12-16 in the NA/EU scene

I don't think T1 will drop their roster unless there are internal issues causing the players to leave by themselves, the brand value of that roster if they do start clicking and become top 5 will absolutely skyrocket and they will instantly become a fan favorite.

True, T1 are already a fan favorite in NA and they might as well keep their roster, seeing as they've already sunk so much money into it

Just showing reasons why they could think about hopping regions, especially with franchising potentially being more expensive in NA

Yeah I understood your point, GenG could definitely pull the trigger and buyout some top roster in Korea.

Gen.G have a really good base for next year. Maybe a few changes. But even staying consistent top 8 is hard in NA. But I think there's no reason to go leave gMd and NaturE. Quite possibly some of the best support players NA. Their coach is also pretty solid.

Maybe they'll just stay pretty solid. But I think it's better than betting on the unknown.

Who do you think Gen.G should pickup during the off season?

Like you said, GMD and Nature are definitely some of the best support players in NA, but I still don't see Gen.G, in its current state, being top 5 team. Maybe new talent could elevate the team enough for them to qualify for LANS?

Hmm. Idk.
Maybe drop koosta and Shawn even though that'd be a sadge moment. I think those two def can find a good squad though bc they are pretty flexible. It feels like their flexibility with their choices are inhibiting their ability. Maybe get a Skye/Jett main and a Viper/Kj player.

Possible ideas:

Honestly it'd be pretty cool to see Yacine and Bonkar just yeet over from Sweden lol. Honestly would work decently. They'd just need to change a couple comps with Breach more than Skye. And also it can take Temp off the Sova role sometimes.

Maybe poach Jammyz and (literally anyone from NRG KEKW). If Jammyz's skill still holds up. This would be a pretty good trade.

if they want a jett main Cryocells from SoaR could be a good one to at least trial, he's been doing really well recently though admittedly against t2 teams. Another option is Aleksandar from ABX, might be hard to get him but he plays reyna and skye and is insanely cracked. They could also pick up BabyJ who just left Faze & looked really good. Just some more options I could think of.

BabyJ seems good. But little odd with the role pairings. And Aleksandar would be literally the best thing ever. But I don't think that ABX will let that happen. I haven't seen Cryocells in a while though, but possible.

Two more ideas is yoinking poiz or using talent farm(IMT) lol.

Exalt has been inactive on the Knights roster as well. Pretty good player so that's a good option as well.

Honestly any sprouting talent that can kill on command and a good Viper/Kj player will bring Gen.G to new heights.

Gen.G look better than ever. And they have elmapuddy. No reason to switch when they already have a solid base to work with for 2022.
IMT --> mibr. hmm. Possible but I think they'll stay a talent farm lol. If they do take the game seriously at some point it's possible.
T1 --> KR. I think this is very possible. They have tried to go to Korea before and honestly there is a possibility with F4Q breaking up, Nuturn kicking allow and suggest, and DWG rebuilding.
FPX --> CN. Maybe. But CN is have a sadge time for Esports bc of the Esports limit now.
I don't even know what's going on in OCE and I think RNG is a big part of the T2 scene now in NA. I guess they might want more. But I don't think going to OCE will fix that.
TSM --> JP. Make 20 man roster with FTX money. Wins Champions ez.

I wonder if T1 could potentially move to Japan and make a mixed roster. If the roster is built well you could have an internationally decent roster that could get a lot of fans. T1 also has some recognition from their time in Apex Legends. For example, T1 could build around GangPin, a young talent that already has experience playing in Japan.
