I want to increase my fps or gaming quality on my gaming laptop but I don't know anything about computer settings. Are there any particular settings in-game or out that would effect my fps in-game?

should just put everything on low.
If your laptop is really shit then there might be some .ini settings youd have to change

nvidia control panel ---> lower res like 1980x1080 16:9 or 1600x 1040 4:3
nvidia latency ultra boost +
run val as administrator
power plugged in,
full screen
bios(idek if laptops have bios settings but you can tweak and overclock)

depending on the laptop, nvidia latency/reflex on ultra/boost might not be the play

Not necessarily a laptop issue, more so depends on the graphics card and monitor

... yeah thats not really a gaming laptop now is it.

Put everything on low and on file explorer go to %appdata%>Local>VALORANT>Saved>Config>Profile(several random numbers and letters)>Windows>GameUserSettings

Go to scalability groups and put everything on 0 EXCEPT Resolution quality, where you shouldn't go lower than 80

Do you even have nvidia on your laptop ?
try to lower the resolution it helps a lot.
run the game as priority as well in task manager

make sure you prioritize dedicated gpu over integrated graphics

this is the most important setting change for gaming laptops, some of them already do this, but a lot dont

For Nvidia, go to Nvidia control panel, go to 'manage 3d settings', then select 'high performance Nvidia processor' where it says 'auto select'

First thing to do is go to the companies software and use the highest performance setting
put the screen on 144hz as if u unlpug the laptop it goes to 60hz
Go to priority setting and Put vaalorant as HIGH

everything low, everything minimum, limit FPS to your maximum refresh rate (e.g.144)close all the other thing on task manager. also open properties on valorant and turn the optimization thing or whatever on. this helped me when I was playing on a fucking Microsoft Surface
