Online game for VCT?

Personally, watching T1 Valorant was the more fun before franchise leagues started. When there were more rivalries, felt like more games being played and teams having more of a chance to shine.
I don't know much about why Val eSports ended up being the way it is now but wouldn't it be more fun if they did online matches on weekdays and stage games on weekends? Teams already scrim most days between games and this way teams will be playing every other team atleast once in each Split. Doesn't even have to be a swap between online and LAN. Could be online for a few weeks and then switched to LAN games.
I also understand that there are complications for competitive fairness but with a few changes, it could be better than the system that is in place now.

I think online games was only a covid thing. In esports LAN games are the norm.

How does switching to online make it more fun? in my opinion it makes it more boring since theres no feedback between opposing players and no crowd.

Just be honest, its not that VCT isnt as fun anymore its just that you dont care about the teams. Thats really it.
Most of the entertaining players are either washed, retired or are streaming.
