He was never close to being the best in CS(:GO).
Maybe one of the best aimers at the time and that's about it. HS percentage after spamming only HS DM's doesn't really mean much

2017 wasn't ScreaM's prime, not at all.
2017 G2 had one of the most iconic CS:GO duos ever, Shox + ScreaM. That's one of the reasons he was so highly rated. He only went downfall ever since.
Nobody wanted him in CS:GO, that's why he made the switch to Valo. (Just quoting his own words although results are out there for us to see)
Getting rid of 1 dimensional player that was underperforming, to get kennyS and win some titles, + many MVPs + higher HLTV ranks doesn't sound bad, does it?
