my idea of regions would look like this

Masters - 24 teams:
EMEA (EU + TR + CIS + MENA) - 6
NA ( NA + LATAM N) - 5
EA (KR + JP) - 3
SA ( BR + LATAM S) - 3
SEA (SEA + SA) - 3
CH - 2
OCE - 2

Champions - 32 teams:
M1 + 2 + 3 winners - 3
EMEA - 5
NA - 5
EA - 3
SA - 3
SEA - 3
CH - 2
OCE - 2
EMEA LCQ - 2
NA LCQ - 2
APAC LCQ - 1
SA LCQ - 1

regional playoffs could be held on lans (post covid) due to ping differences between regions

In the future they will not be VCT but regional leagues and Champions as the international event

not sure how i feel about franchsing as it kills teir 2 competition but is really good for teir 1 teams. honestly i think riot should stick with what they have atm for a while and make some necessary changes

They should never franchise without at least keeping some sort of open qualifier. And maybe even something where the worst team in a region gets “unfranchised” after a while and replaced with the best non-franchised one

I think a European football style relegation system would be really good, brings lots of intrigue especially among the bottom of tier 1 and the top of tier 2 where usually it’s just really boring

They have to open their circuit, franchise for shooters doesn't work, look OW or CoD

Realistically north apac and south apac would have 4 slots each, OCE would be part of apac south I think

This is how its done in R6S, APAC North is KR + JP, APAC South is SEA + OCE, and South Asia gets their own slots

3-3-2 slot distribution

yeah that could work
APAC N : KR + CH + JP
APAC S : SEA + SA + OCE

it would have to be a lan as SA and OCE are very far apart geographically. dont see any other way to split it

What I don't get is how Masters has fewer teams than Champions. SA and SEA combined send 3 teams in Masters but send 3 teams directly to Champions? Which means some teams that would've never played in an international tourney get to compete in them via circuit points? Nicht gut.

Edit: nvm I'm braindead when it came to SA and SEA Champions slots
