my mental health is too bad. I have a very important exam coming (literally the most difficult engineering entrance exam in the world for high school kids).
I had a fight with my family and things arent going really well.
attempted suicide thrice (one landed me in ICU for 15 days).
.
believe me this is not a joke. My life sucks

lemme start by saying this
there's a huge doctor, engineer obsession in india
everyone thinks that those are the most secure and $$$$$$$$$$$ jobs

so lemme copy paste explain what it is to the ones who do not know what this shit is

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an engineering entrance assessment conducted for admission to various engineering colleges(universities) in India.
they start studying for this since like 9th grade or even 8th grade or some parents even put their kids into coaching since 6th grade.
a lot of years of studying 12 hours a day or maybe even more under parental pressure.
this exam can get you into good universities other than the iit(1 percent acceptance rate btw)

my rant starts here

theres this institute named "iit"
its the best engineering institute of india
there are 23 of them in india
and have a 1 percent acceptance rate
but what about the 99 %?
suicidal thoughts, suicide attempts, depression after all the hard work and parental pressure.

this exam could get you into the best institute of india if ur amongst the 1 percent.
and india has a huge problem with bad engineering universities
there are loads of them in india
no practical exposure
just memorising shit from the textbook
A LOT OF ASSIGNMENTS
many are unemployed after getting the degree because they didnt learn anything properly

engineering is dogshit in india unless u get into a good university (only the iit and a few private ones)

there's only a few engineering universities that are better rather than the iit

1 percent acceptance rate and all the pressure from society, parents, relatives and shit.

soo in india
things are different
parents take the major decisions for u
for example
ur career
what stream you are gonna pick in 11th

because according to them
they are experienced and we, children are immature and they care about us so they dont want us to make the "wrong" decision

like i said
there's a huge engineering obsession in india
it's messed up
my parents want me to become an engineer while i have not even decided anything about my career rn
everything except engineer, doctor, lawyer, chartered accountant is seen as inferior

writing an account of the "experiment" you have done in a book
they usually just copy from the nerds

well, many who have different interests are put into the coaching institues forcefully by their parents
they cant do shit about it
some parents work 2-3 shifts for the children just to pay the fees for them.

"wrong" decision my ass you are gona waste years of your life and its not even guaranteed to finished in time, you will face with a teachers who doesnt even understand the class they have lecturing, the ones who doesnt even read the exam papers and give random notes, the ones that will never gona matter in real life.

I finished Administration Mangement last month it took my 6 years and i feel regret for not keeping my money and investing instead of listening those old idiots that hides inside the campus from real life.

You wanna be rich only thing you have to do is manage, save and invest your money. Just imagine doubling your money every year.

Im not saying dont go to univercity, you will surely learn things that you will acualy use in real life but most of the knowledge you learn is gona be nothing compare to the jobs that you can find. In the end all im saying is education cant save or guarantee your future only you can.

I want to do engineering myself but my friend didnt want to, both of his sisters are iitians and he has no interest in it, but still bc of his family pressure he has to do engineering its not a choice, what will u say to people like these. Even if u tell ur parents in these situations they will just shrig it off and then blame you for not studying properly when u dont get into the top unis, very depressing

Its a shity idea you have a house you have a family even if they are pushing you they will still keep supporting you, what you should do is walk the road they are forcing you to walk. It might sound like stupit but there is huge possiblity that you will end up homeless by escaping from your family. Which if you end up homeless people will avoid hiring you which its even worst.

Just live the life that you have been given. Watch around you seize opportunities, be pozitive in the end you will be the one who is going to live your life not your family dont rush things dont make stupit decision and you will end up fine. But right now all you need to do is be patient. If you are realy 15 you acualy know nothing about life and you can only learn by living it.
