Disappointed with Sentinels

The reason why sentinels lost to NV is simple. they’ve become predictable. They rarely use any strategy like lineups and agent combination I get it that’s not how they play but still valorant is not all based on being mechanically skilled and literally everyone in sentinels got some god like aim but they legit still play like they’re in Iceland for example. On haven, zombs/Dapr play back site and sometimes Dapr play on b site and Tenz is always on A unless they lose on A site defending Tenz would switch to another site (maybe C). Shazam is always rotating between A-C. Same executes. While observing the matches today they lost all C defend round because enemy team just know where they’re. Also I just don’t get why sick is still playing Phoenix in garage literally everyone in the world knows he likes playing garage and they’ve found a way to counter it. Anyways that’s just one example when I watch them play it’s like 80% the same as when they play in Iceland. Nothing changed same agents, poor executions, no strat. I know there’s going to be a comment saying that every team in the world is hard analyzing sentinels every game blah blah if that’s the case sentinels needs to be prepared and change their plays. Let excuses be excuses.

EDIT: I’m going to be straightforward with this. Sentinels could’ve lost way earlier on haven map vs Envy if Tenz didn’t carry it to ot . And sentinels is known for their haven maps. It just felt like sentinels was falling apart and the enemy just knew what they were up to yet they changed nothing still playing like normal everyone was just doing their own things, nothing was synchronized, they were baiting each other even on split map it was the same . Sentinels is also known for being an aggressive team but from today’s match I can see that enemy team arent scared of challenge peeking sentinels, if sentinels don’t find a way to change their play style and change their Agents this will be fr downfall of sentinels

They didn't drop a map at iceland. These fools thought they'd just walk into berlin doing the same old shit thinking teams haven't adapted. Shahzam should have known better.

i think sen dont adapt to the meta and play comps they could play stage 1 or first strike (Haven-Ascent comp for exemple)

true and their double duelist comp are probably best used on bind which they played 0 times this tourney

Like I wrote in other posts, overconfidence killed them. They barely changed anything since Iceland, thinking their dominance would continue as long as they play the same. But guess what? Teams improve. And most likely, teams really prepared to play against Sentinels.

Clear example was G2. They lost their first match, prepared for the second one and won it. And today Envy confirmed it; Sentinels are not invincible. Now they really need to improve and mix things up if they don't want history repeating itself at Champions.

Yep I agree. Sentinels is such a good team but envy read them like a book they banned breeze on purpose because envy wasn’t prepared for their new agent comp. sentinels also beat the Korean team on the breeeze map hard. Sentinels has potentials to become better but they didn’t. Shame

LOL every human needs time to relax but who tf relax for an entire day and put no hard work on making more setups/ strats for NA best. Watching sen play is like watching rank games too straight forward

agreed. obviously my SEN shitposts are just a joke, but back when sen wasn't scrimming between challengers 1 and berlin quals, i was pretty concerned. i think sen had a bit of an off tournament, but even if the players individually performed better i still don't think they would've won.

at least, finally we can start to see a rivalry and some competition at the top of na again, and i definitely believe in SEN bouncing back by champions

Another reason I haven't seen being talked about is their reliance on shaz's igl ing for their attacks but they crumble if 1)they go up agaisnt ppl that can read them (if they played a team before the team would be more comfortable with reading them)
2) They rely too much on their clutches/ get out of jail free cards, yes it can be done by every1 on that team but you cant consistently clutch every round.

Overall, shaz might be a good igl but he isnt glaive level and if tenz doent pew pew and tap head, gg go next.

My english at 7am is borderline illiterate.

Shahzams philosophy for a majority of valorant was "don't fix what ain't broke." Which obviously worked since they had such a fluid agent composition and team synergy / strategy. It was hard to break, but because it was always the same inherently, people were able to break it in the end.

that’s a poor mindset for an igl in my opinion
