EU is short for europe, it has nothing to do with the European Union since british players for example still play in the EU region. The blue flag you see Is the European Union flag but is used to represent the whole european continent. Turkey and Russia are not entirely european countries.

Its not hard to google, what EU stands for, and if you think EU is Europe what does U stands for then? Europe is a single word if anything you should say Eu.

You either Turk on copium or NA kiddo with trash baiting.

If you google "abbreviation of Europe" you get "The word Europe has one common abbreviation. It is, Eur."
If you google "abbreviation of European Union" you get "EU"

No one uses abbreviation for Europe, only for European Union, but if they do most common is Eur.

Edit: There is only one word in "Europe" so only one capital letter can be used for abbreviation.

About 77% of russia is in asia and vast majority of Turkey is also in Asia. So, I don't know how they count them in europe?

I like how EU fans disown their teams when things start to go south OMEGALUL "they're not EU team"
Whether what their geography is, they qualified for EU , then they are EU.
Here check your EU teams

yeah its the opposite if we're talking about territory, most of Russia is in Asia, problem is that I don't find it odd for them to be counted as Europeans as most of them are born, raised and live there
