I hope that after this Berlin master is finished, Riot games will not reduce Slots for Brazil, Japan, SEA, and LATAM regions. even if they perform poorly or not as expected by everyone at master Berlin.
this is just the first year for Valorant, and in all four regions people really like Valorant.
people always say to reduce the slots for those four regions, and add them to the EMEA or NA regions. Of course, it's great to see EMEA teams play against teams from NA. because, these two areas are very strong.
but, please remember, Valorant Champions. this is a competition for teams all over the world. not EMEA vs NA or Korea competition.
how bad are the teams from other regions or how boring their matches are, let them play. let the teams represent their region.
I wish valorant wouldn't be like CS:GO. where the teams that compete are not too different from year to year, and from the same region. isn't it boring? there wouldn't be any big surprises, and the chances of winning the Major were probably already predictable. and, in Valorant, especially in this Berlin master. people probably already predicted who would win, the teams from NA or EMEA. but, isn't it nice to see dark horses in this tournament? like VS (Korea), although the chances of winning the tournament are small, compared to the predictions of people who predict the Sentinels will be the champion. I can't find it now in the CS:GO competition. dark horse teams from small areas that are not counted, because they don't have strong FPS game basics.
if Riot were to reduce the Slots for the four Regions, maybe it would reduce the number of people who like Valorant. because, people from the region, maybe, will think that RIOT GAMES only pays attention to big Regions.
I hope that in 2022, regions such as MENA, China, South Asia, Oceania have their own slots to participate in the 2022 Valorant Champions.

I hope they have their own Slot in Valorant Champions 2022, without having to join LCQ with teams from the EMEA Region. let EMEA fight teams from EMEA itself. because, MENA and EMEA are different regions.

Nice thread my friend, Valorant international tournaments are much more fun to watch than CS, I have no doubts, this variation of different playing styles that each region brings to the tournament is a different “sauce” and I really like that.

Yeah I've had enough of the remove this regions slot to give slot to this region.

at first, it might be fun to see the NA vs EMEA teams. however, after a while it will be boring, if only the teams from the two regions compete. no surprises, no dark horses, nothing more exciting. each region has a different style of play, only that will make the match interesting, although in the end the teams from the unfavorable region will lose. I also believe that teams from other regions, Like, SEA, south asia, MENA, OCEANIA, Japan, BR, LATAM, CHINA, want to compete against teams from other regions, especially 2 very strong regions like EMEA and NA. even if they lose, they will also continue to practice, improve skills, etc., to become even stronger later.
however, that will not happen, if RIOT GAMES instead reduces the number of teams/slots from these regions, and instead adds them to the NA or EMEA regions. I hope Valorant Champions 2022 will be followed by 24 teams, not 16 teams.

I feel like in 2-3 years, if they mantain this format we'll be seeing a lot of upsets. Just take how the BR region improved from one Masters to another. Agua mole, pedra dura. If the teams play each other enough they'll eventually figure something out, and we'll start to see some very interesting underdogs

I 100% agree, we can see with Vivo Keyd and ZETA that regions that a lot of people consider 'minor' can be contenders when given the opportunity. Allowing more regions into international play further encourages the locals within a region to pick up and get better at the game. I really wish Riot allowed for at least one OCE team direct entry to Champions without having to go through the NA LCQ. Maybe Riot should add a 'play-ins' stage to Champions, increase the amount of teams in the tournament and therefore increase international representation within the tournament. When COVID-19 subdues, teams should also look to bootcamp in international environments to further their own playstyle and learn from other regions. Maybe Riot even considers adding India as a region as the game seems to be growing there.
