I don't think there would be any change to the Japanese teams format, also this is like 1st International LAN for ZETA and second for CR
I don't know why people are flaming them and wanting to delete 1 team off the board :>

24 team format

Japan 2
Southeast Asia 2
Brazil 2
EMEA 4
North America 4
Latam 2
Oceania 1
China 2
South Asia 2
Korea 3

NA - 4 and CN -3. Its so wrong... I mean EU gets 4 slots because it is not a single region, EU has 3 regions but NA is fking 1 region. So giving 4 slots to NA is not appropriate. And Game hasn't even launched in China and we don't even know how the pro teams will play from there. So 3 slots to China is doubtful. But anyways rest of the slots are fine IMO

Fair point but I don't wanna give EU more slots just because its a larger region, I mean like china should be 2 slots only is good but I don't know where to put the other slots on :/

for na I think its fine to hit it on 4 as china, cause there are still shit tons of valorant teams that hasn't have a chance on this yet

EMEA has the biggest playerbase and despite all the jokes about their performance this tourney (NA>KR>EU) I still think they should get 5 slots in a 24 team format. It is just fair given the 3 regions and 2.7mil ranked players vs Asia's 2.2mil

I think that BR and KR are a step above other regions (mainly KR), but they still don't reach the level of competitiveness of NA and EMEA, so I believe that there will be 3 places for Brazil (due to the number of competitive teams there) and 3 spots for South Korea is fair. India has yet to prove anything on the international scene, as has China, but some Koreans say they are quite good, so by the range of people there, at least one place should have.

then Gambit will get free spots and won't improve for playing with the same teams with the same strats, because on CIS the only team who is the "rival" of Gambit is NaVi, the other teams are trash.

Yes, to compare a team that according to Team Vikings would be the second best team in Brazil (if they competed there) at that time with the team that, according to all of Brazil and even the teams from Iceland/EMEA, was a much worse team than the others.

Team Vikings played out of the finish line and still managed to eliminate the X10 (SEA#1), it's not like the VS wasn't surprised by the PRX (SEA#1) and crushed them completely. They played against Sentinels which is currently the best team in the world, were eliminated by Team Liquid which was quoted as one of the favorites for the title and SEED#1 in EMEA, as well as in Berlin Vivo Keyd lost close matches against Envy, which completely smashed KRU, which completely smashed ZETA. Just like Havan Liberty that faced NA's SEED#2 that overcame the Gambit that is EMEA's SEED#1. If SEA were a bad region, neither we nor Vision Strikers would have a hard time beating them. I'll only consider your "win a series against NA" argument when VS faces Sentinels/Envy/100T, playing against a V1 with a substitute is easier than facing the current world champion, and you'll see that.

Its so early in the game that removing slots is just gonna be bad for the game especially for developing scenes like Japan. they don't have good FPS foundation but their country is super into valorant. Probs has the 3rd highest viewership, they broughtht 220+k on the JP channels and China literally has 1.4 Billion people..you get 1% that 14 million people already.

Originally, I was always cheering for the JP teams. But Iceland was very disappointing.

The same goes for Berlin. I've been watching the JP league, but now I don't feel the need to do it anymore.

JP has a large number of viewers, but JP teams lower the level of competition.

There must be 1 seed for the Japan region. (For JP viewers)

NO. EMEA does not deserve 6 slots. korea 2 slots is just fine considering F4Qs performance. NA 4 slots is debatable. SEA and South Asia SHOULD BE 2 different regions, SA has a population of 1+ billion and SEA has a population of 600+million why would you combine them? plus the geographical distance.
