This guy has taken a team who has no true IGL and crazy fucked up roles(no consistent sova player, jampii plays a lot of different agents) and made them into one of the top teams in Europe. Obviously the players deserve a lot of credit for this as well but Sliggy must be doing an astronomical amount of work BTS.

I think Sliggy is nuts. He'll have to be to sort out Liquid's agent comp issues.
My hope is that liquid will try a sixth man, possibly bringing back ardiis from the old Fish123 days, so they can rotate a sova main into the squad.
I reckon it takes a seriously good coach to manage a six man rotation. The strats are one thing, but the mental aspect must be really hard to stay on top of.
If anyone could pull that off successfully, it's Sliggy.
his team is overdependent on him. he refuses to make any roster moves. they dont have a good jett or sova, which are op till now. they dont have an igl for mid round calling. imagine you dont know anything about this team liquid valorant roster. then imagine that info comes out that an org like liquid was signing scream and jamppi for their valorant roster. what would your expectations for that team be? are the liquid rn meeting that expectations? my expectations would be they are going toe to toe with sentinels, but they are so far below them. sliggy may be a good coach but the work he is doing with liquid is not good enough for the firepower this team has.
Yeah, agree. I've called this out when they were playing the kayo stuff against Giants and NO SOVA on ascent. At that point I know they won't win with the stupid comp they have. This was the bo3.
They are missing essential agents and it shows. They won't be able to challenge teams like SEN (Not because they are untouchable and people wanna see Scream vs TenZ, but they are not willing to change and run beta comps that are not meta and clearly not working out for them. No initiator? Come on man.) As I stated this before I wanted them to do well, but it still seems like they don't have what it takes to be like an S tier team in EMEA.
Their agent pool sucks, no sova main, Kryptix can't anchor a site and has no value as a sentinel. And on Bind, Soulcas was playin Raze, no one played sova or Skye. Which was suprising to me. Skye is op and they don't run her because they realised they need a raze but no one can play her except Soulcas? That's fucked up. They should expand their agent pool and get the right people on the right role cuz this is disastrous.
(Before anyone would say, yes I know they were 2 rounds away from going to Berlin, but let's be honest. Scream could be any kind of headshot machine but he wouldn't be able to carry them in Berlin with these shitty comps.)

If the kay/o comp worked out in prac's why wouldn't they try again in officials and btw they came off clear at the end winning challengers 2 + sliggy himself said he prepared another comp if it didn't work out.
About the agent pool, no one spoke a word in vlr when they had a 7 win streak on bind playing the same exact comp and only when they lost ppl apparently started seeing the fault, I get the critique on their bind comp but its still justifiable to sliggy when they were winning bind consistently
people have always spoke out about their shitty comps. they have no good jett, and you NEED a jett main to be successful rn. every top team in berlin have a cracked jett. they also dont have a sova, like just look around everyone is getting insane value out of him and they are not. and then theres the igl problem which is so weird, teams like g2 knew they needed a good igl so bad they were willing to relocate dephh from the US just to be their igl. why havent they signed an igl yet? just kick whoevers role the igl is playing, the only core of this team is scream, all the other players are expendable.
The 7 win streak u are referring to was back in april (my guess u are talking about this) and then they lost Fnatic. I was reffering to recent results since July 7th. Even if they don't run a raze that comp was still better: Brimstone, Jett, Skye, Sova and Viper.
Now what they have run: Raze, Jett, Brimstone, cypher and sage. This comp change might have caught off guard giants, navi and forze. I honestly really didn't care to watch those games so I won't comment on that. Imo if u run double duelist u don't need a sage on top of that.
But at the same time u don't have any info gathering tool other than the boombot and cypher cam. What do u do? Jiggle peak everything? Bait? Like honestly I don't see how this comp would have been successful against team in Berlin. Of course they could have changed it up, but there are clearly problems amoung the team and u can't deny it.
Also don't call others a kid when u don't even know anything about them.
Kru's coach Rodrigo "Onur" Dalmagro is still the best in the business. Kru is not only known as Brazilian slayers, they've also added NA to their list of victims. On top of that, he's an astronaut, doctor, plumber, cop, firefighter, pizza delivery guy, soldier, and a teacher. Who else has that resume?
