Why does everyone want a boring group stage?

It would be amazing to see VS, Acend and SMB all in the same group, fighting just to make the playoffs. Why do you all want 2 clear top 2 teams in each group? If they change it, the groups will be pretty boring to watch and the only great matchups would be the 2 top teams for who gets #1 in the group(which doesn't really matter). Having the group of death will just give us more exciting matchups in the group stage and will allow us to see 3 of the top teams in the world trying their absolute hardest just to get out of the group. Plus Envy has 3 #1 seeds, including Vivo Keyd in their group. Obviously Envy are the favorite in that group but that group has some big upset potential as well.

the thing is, we would get a boring quarter finals with a tier 2 team most likely. everyone would doubt that team and say they got there with luck, not giving them the appreciation they wouldve deserved. imagine for example vivo keyd is a top 8 team, makes it to playoffs but everyone says they got lucky and arent actually that good, that would suck

Because KR had so much to offer ; imagine if they dont qualify to playoffs and a nobody region from Group C qualifies , people will start rating LATAM over KR ; is that shit true - no , but the format is so fucked up that we would have to believe it

itll be infinitely more exciting if 3 na, 1 kr and 4 emea make the single elim bracket. "fighting in the groups" stfu. vs didnt fight for seed 1 just to get harder group than f4q. vs are way more likely to win against g2 than against both smb and acend. this is some dumb shit.

I hope PRX will give a tough match for their opponents. One of these Emea teams should have switch with one of the team in group b. kinda unfair maybe.. its better to have boring group stage than boring playoff...

not necessarily true. EMEA #2 and #3 could easily have been number 1 on any other day. Even liquid almost beat gambit practically playing 4v5 on the 3rdd map. It's never so clear cut on valorant bro.
