AMERICAS Problem

I think you all will agree that the AMERICAS team skill gap is much smaller than in any other region. For example, the bottom teams of AMERICAS now are MIBR and FURIA. I am not talking about LOUD or G2, as they have performed well in the present or at recent events. Others are doing pretty well and matches are very competitive. So, teams have to prepare their A game and show all their strategies to qualify for play-offs. If you look at Sentinels, you may agree with me. Opponents and good coaches are now studying them hard because of lots of VODs, and they are now beaten more often, despite being one of the best in the Americas for a couple of months. So, depending on who qualifies from the Americas for the Masters Shanghai, I think this time the American team may have a less chance to win it.

On the other hand, EMEA teams are beating each other; many upsets are there, but I think all of them don't need to show that much strategy in many games. Teams like NAVI, FUT, Fnatic, TH or KC are technically better than other teams. Vitality is just inconsistent. Even though Gentle Mates and BBL both won some games, I think the tier disparity is much greater than that of AMERICAS. KOI, Giantx, and Liquid are straight asses.

We don't need to talk about PACIFIC teams. As we all know about them,. DRX, PRX, GENG, and maybe Team Secret are currently outperforming many of their opponents without showing that much of a game plan or strategy. GE, Bleed, RRQ, DFM, and T1 are not playing like a T1 team should play.

What's your opinion?

True, I think even EMEA has to show some stuff on some matches too. But Pacific and China has a very clear gap between the top 3/4 teams and the rest.

Yeah, absolutely agree on that. The top teams of CN and Pacific are way better, like S-tier or A-tier, while others are just C-tier or D-tier. But in EMEA and AMERICAS, this isn't the issue. Their skill gap is smaller compared to these regions.
