Stage 1 Format

I had this in an earlier thread but I type essays and realized it should get its own place to be addressed

I know it is addressed a lot but these brackets and group stages are designed so horribly. the fact that there is a chance 4 of the 6 teams in omega dont even win a single game while Kru is
4-0 but still is not locked in for playoffs. Super one sided and stupid and I realized that next split if all the teams were the same as they are now and they had to play within their group it is STILL super unfair as it would give the top teams in omega an even easier road as Lev 100 thieves and Loud/EG would have to play MIBR and Furia the 2 worst teams right now and be able to move on while NRG SEN Cloud9 KRU and G2 all middle or high in the pack would have to battle it out again where even one loss could cost you champs qualification. Especially since the points dont really matter as Sen already started the year off with 6 ahead of everyone else. IT IS SO STUPID (not even just to sen as they have actually benefited a lot chaps wise)

lev group is mostly one sided because theyre the only ones getting wins, if none of them win then sen has more chances chill out

it's not and when we get to playoffs and someones favorite team gets knocked out after all of this in a single elimination game they are going to get annoyed which is fair. Only reason you say its fine is because Lev is getting handed a ticket to Shanghai because of the stupid format benefiting them the most.

okay then lets remove the rule of 2 wins and make mibr or eg get to playoffs and sen miss out 👍

And then there is a second split where teams should stay in these groups. I think that 100T and Lev will stay favored to get out in Omega, but there will be a battle royal in alpha because it’s literally a group of death. I like watching this kind of groups but other ones should still stay balanced so the strongest will get out

What is the logic there? Doesn't stage 2 count the wins you get in stage 1? How is it unfair

yeah all they determine is a spot at champs, they really dont
- as Sen already started the year off with 6 ahead of everyone else
  do you realize this fact is only meaningful if sentinels dont qualify through stage 2 playoffs? like if they qual off playoffs it just gets given to the team with the next highest points. also they do matter for that exact reason because if sen dont make champs off playoffs, that earlier performance will help them qual anyway
