ACADEMY TEAM

with TSM signing the ex-Noble team as an academy team, it made me wonder?
what are the benefits of playing under an academy team? you can't play in the major Valorant tournies. i think this is the only one.
i know you have so many more resources, a better team, and more popularity when you sign under a big name like TSM, but what's the point of academy teams.

Is the same with the T1 academy team. Is an investment, you develop those player and potentially promote them to the main team instead of buying out or acquiring another player. Happened with dawn in T1. Since is an investment you can even sell those players if they go up in value. In addition to this the academy team now have more exposure a bigger name behind them that will bring more opportunities to them, like more viewership/followers and potential buy out from other teams.

T1 Academy is a great example, you can develop talent and sell them off to other teams or move them to the main roster like dawn even if he is just a stand-in for now.

TBH i don't really like the way academy teams are in valorant. Academy teams should be more filled up with young players
who have potential and basically future pros being nurtured in a learning enviorment, they should hire someone like TLP monkies whose IGL is 13 and
the oldest player is 16, hopefully more orgs make academy teams so there can be academy team only tourneys just like in CS where NAVI JUNIOR,VP PRODIGY etc, compete

Also, VCT is finished till post champions so TSM are probably looking to see if any these players can become good enough to join them in Vct
