One is the dreaded single elim that didnt allow teams to actually get better and one is group matches from each region into a playoff then into a masters group then playoff. They are not the same.

if madrid was like lock in and sen lost to geng they wouldve never been able to come back and defeat them again. Teams can improve and fix mistakes in a short period of time. Lock in bum ass format didnt allow that (nrg and drx couldve won not taking away from fnc win good on them but speculation is high af). Ur bumass still tryna justify lock in > madrid is funny af.

there shouldnt be a chance for improvment in playoffs of a tournament. you improve through scrims and league play. either show up when its time or fuck right off.

masters is practically a 44 team tournament because teams qualified since kickoff where they had a lot more chances to get better than teams on lock//in but ok

because off days dont happen to players? Ur so stupid, then why is champions and masters always giving lowers? How about when fpx lost to fnatic first match but ended up winning the whole tournament? Eg champs? Being able to improve in such a short time is a great thing but ur dumbass can't comprehend that.

its their fucking job to be professionals at a game. they can have off days sure but if its on the day of a crucial match then thats on them, they failed and 2nd chances shouldnt be allowed.

then why is champions and masters always giving lowers?

imo they shouldnt. it should be like cs tourneys where theres never a lower bracket. i never seen a cs pro ever complain about this format. they know whats required of them.

good for them but thats not deserved

i like both games and both esports have different things the other should have. lower bracket playoffs is bullshit and thats the truth.

At the end of the day, these players prefer double elim and the fans prefer it too. You are an exception coming from cs esports.

of course they prefer it because they get a second chance... they wouldnt care if it was single elim off rip. but riot sets shit up for more viewership to make valo seem bigger than it really is. honest truth imo
