It should be different as they have 16 teams for Berlin, prob group stage format and NA/EU teams will crush whoever is in their group since same region would not be in the same group

From what ShahZam said on stream, he joked around about maybe bringing out the Brimstone and putting Zombs on Jett to Op.

Personally I think it’s kind of stupid to not treat these games serious. As I much rather go against the 2nd seed of like Japan first than have to go against a team like Acend or something, you get what I mean.

Now I don’t expect SEN to actually go against 100T tomorrow with Zombs on the Jett Oping. But it doesn’t sound like they are taking the match as serious as IMO they should.

The seeding in Iceland was a huge factor, it literally caused teams to have to play an extra match because of the 10 team double elimination format. Now obviously because we have 16 teams now, a double elimination format is perfect and won’t result in teams having to play another match, but I still think it’s important.

That doesn’t even take into consideration the extra $25K USD difference between 1st and 3rd. While it isn’t huge bucks, it’s something worth playing for.

Sentinels got first seed from na and ended up having to play the second best team in the tournament 1st round. I don't think it matter that much.

Shahzam was joking coz chat made donations requesting Dapr and Zombs to play the duelist role in the match against 100T. Shaz may be trolling coz of chat or he may be serious; which we will know tomorrow. However, it won't hurt for them to try out new comps on different maps.

It really doesnt matter what seed they get they already qualified for the main tournament. If anything Sentinels should go for the last seed or something like that where they have to play more games at LAN so that they can get overview of as many teams as possible for the final tourney at the year end. This way they know what proper EU teams are made of.

They wont play more matches if they get lower seed tho, if asuming they get first they will probably just be put into a group of 1st or second EMEA or maxbe Vidion strikers. But Sen probably want zo win challengers finals anyways

I feel that's the problem with the current VCT format. The qualification, which is the goal of every team, is given to teams before the end of the bracket. So the semifinals and finals, which normally are the most exciting part, are worse than the previous stages.

Next year, Riot should instead make at least three independent challengers stages for where the top teams earn points to qualify for Masters. Just like qualifying to Champions, but now to masters. This would make the finals matches of the tournament with more at stake.

there will be no extra matches this time, the only real advantage would be the 1st seed goes against 4th seed of emea or some low seed team so the initial phase may be slightly easier.

I feel Sen will win but if 100t wins it will have no real value since everyone will say sen threw or Sen saving strats .
So this match for me isn’t that important IMO but the xset vs envy match is gonna be very important as it is for the last berlin spot.

I personally don't think that SEN is as much of a superteam as 100t is by definition. Obviously SEN has some of the best players in north america but they weren't all brought in to form a superteam when the team was created, it was just shahz and friends. Of course they added tenz but it's not like they went around buying superstars and big names for their team like 100t did.
