Its basically a Swiss format. Every #1 placed team will go against the #2 placed team and no teams of the same region could face each other.
From 8 teams after first round, we will end up with 4 teams with 1-0 record and 4 teams with 0-1 record.
The 4 teams with 1-0 records will play this style again and there will be 2 teams with 2-0 record who will be qualified for playoffs and the remaining 2 teams with 1-1 record.
The 4 teams with 0-1 record will play this style again and there will be 2 teams with 1-1 record and 2 teams with 0-2 record who will be eliminated.
Now collectively we got 4 teams with 1-1 record who will battle it out until there are 2 teams with 2-1 record are standing who will qualify for the playoffs and join the other 2 teams with 2-0 record. The remaining 2 teams will be eliminated.

  1. Initial Pairings:

    • Each #1 placed team faces the corresponding #2 placed team.
    • Teams from the same region cannot compete against each other.
  2. First Round:

    • Initially, there are 8 teams.
    • After the first round:
      • 4 teams have a 1-0 record (they won their first match).
      • 4 teams have a 0-1 record (they lost their first match).
  3. Second Round for 1-0 Teams:

    • The 4 teams with a 1-0 record play again.
    • After this round:
      • 2 teams have a 2-0 record (they won both matches and qualify for the playoffs).
      • The remaining 2 teams have a 1-1 record (they won one and lost one).
  4. Second Round for 0-1 Teams:

    • The 4 teams with a 0-1 record also play again.
    • After this round:
      • 2 teams have a 1-1 record (they won one and lost one).
      • 2 teams have a 0-2 record (they lost both matches and are eliminated).
  5. Final Battle for 1-1 Teams:

    • The 4 teams with a 1-1 record compete.
    • Eventually, we'll end up with:
      • 2 teams have a 2-1 record (they qualify for the playoffs and join the other 2 teams with a 2-0 record).
      • The remaining 2 teams will be eliminated.
