So opened vlr to look for skrossi to see how he's playing. Opened his last game, and found out an Indonesian player severine is now playing for REVENANT. and on their opponent team there's frostmind playing for MLT.
I shrugged it off because they are great players, and good for them.

Then I opened more Indian challengers games, and I see adrian and sayoo playing for GRAYFOX.
And obviously in T1 there was GLOBAL with monyet in '23, then blazeking in '24.
As an Indonesian I'm proud of them and support them. Good for them getting signed with these ORGS.

Now I don't follow Indian nor Indonesian T2 scene. But is there a reason why Indian ORGS likes signing Indonesian players?

Its easy. India currently doesn't have talents matching skrossi and idk why they don't wanna nurture other talents so best option is to get outside players. Just take a look at LEV, being from Chile but they only have 2 Chile players.
Also i don't get the hate like yah we need more Indian players but u don't wanna help nurture those talents or mostly if people are good they don't wanna go pro because they are casual players and have other plans in life.
TBH going pro is not as supported as it is in other countries. The society still kind of has a traditional mindset. School>College>Job>Marriage>Kids>Retire>Die. Something along these lines. Not saying everyone is like this but most of them are.

For all those who bash India and why there no Indian talent this is the reason
I myself is preparing for the toughest University entrance test, so I haven't even played a game in 3 years and it's likely to continue for the next half a year

Simple, Indonesia probably has the deepest talent pool of any region in APAC imo, and they're relatively cheap to boot

India on the other had has the most shite talent pool of any major sub region in the world (yes worse than MENA, Japan and LATAM imo), and to that Indian orgs wanting Instant results without developing talent whatsoever

Ofc there are a lot of indo players in SA

It's the literal opposite in Indonesia. we have talent, But ORGS aren't willing to invest in VALORANT challengers. apart from BOOM and AlterEgo, there arent any major ORGS investing in T2. most of the T2 in Indonesia are either orgless or mid tier orgs.

Indonesia has a lot of talented players and no disrespect to India but they aren't the most talent-rich region in the world

I guess that's because Indian teams only play among themselves and they don't get to experience the competition from other regions due to ping I suppose

that's kind of the problem with being an isolated region like South Asia is, some type of thing happens to OCE players, they are virtually blackballed from T1 scrims because nobody would want to play 100+ ping scrims against T2 teams when there's equal or better comp closer by with better ping. It's one of the massive problems that people had with the International Leagues, where teams from locations faraway from the IL centers would be fucked over for scrim partners. It hasn't really happened yet for South America because they have a very strong esports/fps culture but for countries like India that have a much weaker presence in the fps scene, this lack of competition and development is very bad for them
