VCT "AMERICA" + VCT LOCATION

I still don't understand why it's called "VCT AMERICAS" if there are teams from America, Canada, Brazil, and Chile.
Canada is very similar to us, but they are not us, and the rest are very different.

I also don't understand why every edition is in LOS ANGELES, especially knowing that the Masters will be in Spain, which is far from America, and Brazil would be closer.
Now all teams are set in LA and will have a stressful long trip to Spain.

Why not host it in Buenos Aires (Brazil) or Caracas (Chile), which are closer to Spain?

Riot doesn't have private establishments in South America. For a regional tournament, it's better to save money and do it at their own building than renting out stadiums

The problem is that if splits were a 2 week tournament like kickoff, maybe a tournament in Brazil or South America would work. However, the regular splits are at least 5 weeks for regular season and playoffs, so it's a big hassle for orgs and riot to organize the relocation, visas, and living situations of 55 players when they've already got stuff sorted out in LA

Riot's not going to rent out new arenas every split when they already have a good cycle with LCS and the Riot Games Arena, they would lose a shit ton of money and time planning different venues. Secondly, splits are like 10 weeks long, orgs and riot aren't going to support constant long term relocation of 55 players for 3 months.
