Esports Psychologists

Esports teams usually have just the players, coaches, and analysts information at face value. However, what else goes on behind the scenes? The team psychologist, for example, was not a priority for teams a couple years back but is slowly growing in importance as the issues of mental health became more prominent. The greatest example I can think of is Astralis in csgo. One of the best teams of all time was struggling to perform on the big stage/ playoffs to win events. I remember hearing that they expanded their staff to treat their issues by hiring a sports psychologist.

The main question I’m trying to ask is how prominent are sports psychologists in top level valorant because I can’t really find info on them. Also would be nice to ask them some questions if they happen to stumble on this.

The first notable sports psychologist in the VALORANT scene was Edward Cleland aka MindBodyEsports, he was detrimental in 100Ts winning run during First Strike NA, as he was a very valuable asset based on behind the scenes content, he also went on to help G2 win their first IEM katowice title
