How would you even plan out a VCT season? Say it needs to run from mid Jan - Start of Oct (Because of Words) how would you set it up?

Mid Jan - Early March (Split 1 + playoffs to qual into masters) (2 games a week for a team so a full round robin will take around 5-6 weeks plus 2 weeks playoffs)
Mid March - Early April (Masters 1)
Late April- Mid June (Split 2)
Start to end of July (Masters 2)
Start to end of August (LCQ )
September (Champs)

The season ends at the end of September due to Worlds and a lot of the staff that work on champs also work in LoL.

What do you guys think of this format?

TL;DR The problem with this is that Riot will almost never have a consistent week-long matchweek.

The problem is that scheduling doesn't work out between all four VCT leagues, challengers and game changers. They clearly earn the most money from tier 1 but they definitely also care about the revenue and exposure tier 2 brings into VCT. Unless they re-prioritise, teams will be sticking to 1 match a week imo.

With the single round robin format with all 11 teams, a minimum of 5 matches need to be played a week, in a minimum of 2 days (3-2) or 3 days (2-2-1).
Take the 2 day format, Americas will be on the same day as China, just different timeslots. EMEA will be over the weekdays and Pacific overlaps both EMEA and America just on a different timeslot. Then take in challengers for every region and game changers which is growing more and more and you have a huge scheduling conflict.
