any got thoughts on the new NA challengers playoffs? games start on Wednesday and we now have the losers brackets finals on Saturday and the Grand Finals being normal on the Sunday. it doesn't change much other than the lower grand final game being a bit more hype and less tiring so that teams don't have to play twice in one day back to back

Helps the team that comes into the lower final from lower bracket because then they can vod review the other team instead of just going straight in

won't matter because top3 already qualifies

Yeh, it can go like 3-2 with overtimes and stuff that could be like 5 hours. A bo3 is better and even a 2-1 looks better than a 3-2. Like more convincing that you will be the other team going into the playoffs.

and it won't matter for seeding because with 16 teams hopefully there won't be teams w/ byes

Its probably groups, i asume NA 1st and 2nd and EMEA 1sg and second get seed 1. And the other na and the other 2 emea teams get seed 2 with probably KR 1st. So it does matter, id rather be put in a group with the third or 4th emea team than the 2 finalists wich are probably half a tier above

Seeding can mean a lot + prize money
