Every day people ask me how I can still be an Okin fan. They say, “He can’t even make it to semis anymore”, “He can’t even make VCT round of 16”, “He can’t even bench 550”, and every time I respond with the same quote from Voltaire: “Faith consists in believing when it is beyond the power of reason to believe”. Yes, you see, it is not just that I am a fan of Okin. I am a devotee. To an outside observer, one who doesn’t see things the way I do, it may seem as if Okin can go no further. But they are wrong. Because I know that if Okin has nothing else in this world, he will have my faith, and with that the power to go further. So when you see me in YFP match threads spreading the gospel of Okin, know that it is not copium, it is not hopium, but it is faith beyond reason.
