-3 years of your life (minimum), reminder that Worlds is all just a big advertisement for people like you to play their god awfully shitty game and you've fallen for it

Watching league and playing league completely ruins the experience when you see shitheads playing like idiots

its not as bad most people say. I found the memes funny when I played league often but I genuienly dont find it too addictive and its pretty fun at times

i recommeded this to someone a month ago

I would start by trying the game out and getting a grasp on the basics
Watching tutorials is from my experience NOT the way to go since there are a lot of bad ones out there or they are too complicated for new players.
Playing duo with someone probably the best way.

op.gg is a site pretty much everyone uses and where you see all the stats and builds of champs and which champs are good or bad but thats only ranked and not in pro play.

In case you dont wanna actually play league and just wanna understand pro games you should learn about 1. lanes/roles 2. objectives 3. and maybe phases of the game

Then you can choose if you want to watch LEC europe league LCK korea league LPL china league OR LCS NA league
but I recommend LCK and LEC since those are the most popular rn.

The most hyped up events are MSI and Worlds since those are the 2 international events that league has each year and the qualification system may be kinda confusing so you can just wait till play offs and choose a team you like then.

I used to play league somewhat often but nowadays i dont really follow the scene too much nor do i play the game very often but I think this still holds up ok. Allat

IF YOU DONT WANNA READ ALLAT READ THIS

1Try the game and learn the basics.

2Avoid complicated tutorials; instead, play duo with someone experienced. (from my experience)

3Use op.gg to research champions, builds, and stats.

4If you don't want to play, focus on learning lanes, roles, objectives, and game phases.

5Watch LEC (Europe League) LPL (China League) LCS (NA league) or LCK (Korea League) for professional matches.

6For major international events like MSI and Worlds, wait for playoffs if you dont wanna get deep in the stages and stuff and choose a team to support.

i feel like nobody actually thinks the game is bad, it's just so insanely mentally taxing

Lots of people think the game is bad because of the balancing. But those are usually the ones who play it the most so I get what youre saying.

for point 5 you can just say LPL and LCK, the west is trash. 7/8 playoff teams were LPL/LCK only 1 LCS team made it. also only one team not from the east has won worlds, fnc in season 1, which of course was played in phreaks basement.

Just wait for the riot mmo tbh. Pro play is leagues different than actual rank league lol because of the coordination and high level mechanics.
