(disclaimer - read only if your day was good, it gets pretty harsh but thats the reality , so accept it or ignore)
i think you should stop hyping "no Indian player = you will not support the org". think of it over a long term, bc it is going to affect the org's status in front of a big audience. imagine they make 5 men international roster (no indian), by the time they win anything bigger, this small thing of no indian = no support would have become so wide, like a meme, "they can win only with international players" or, "the win doesn't matter, there's no indian" etc. and even if they lose, "better watch 5 indians lose than a team of 5 international players". good luck with your love for country and pride, but the org has got a slot for being among the only 30 teams (excluding china, which is recently added in the league). comprehend the fact that only 30 teams of the entire world! isn't it crazy in itself? so why would the org waste the slot by hiring a weak squad which is a guarantee lose, that too with a huge score difference? it will not only affect the orgs status, which they will need to stay relevant among the top 30, but also flashlight more on how weak this region is compared to the rest.
another thing - does the org care about what the local audience think about the team? sweet answer is NO!. its simply bc, once they start winning, they will not only gain attention from india(being an indian org) also the countries, the playing 5 are from, + the rest of the world. for eg- prx, it was not much known before they achieved so much on a international stages and look at them now, the whole world knows them. similarly, drx, gambit. So all that ge wants to, not only ge but any other org, is to win internationally, make their name bigger and stay relevant in the eco system. now, how will they win? make a strong team with huge potentials in hope that they will win.
so coming back to the first topic, since ge has now got the chance to make a team which we hope can actually win, just go with the flow and try supporting whatever the team may be, bc this small trend of no indian player = you wont support will grow so badly that even after actually winning something, it will not feel the same, deep down you all will be happy for the team, but your ego and pride for the country wont let it show you on your face. and why i am saying that this trend will grow huge is bc these days things , more like negative things on internet grow with no time and there are thousands of examples of it. (!hello india gefighting!)

and those all saying won't support ge if no indian, i know, even you know, on the match day, YOU will be the most excited to watch ge play regardless of the players and the results.

Everything you said is true but the point remains: No indian playing --> No exposure of indian valorant --> No improvement for india --> India stays trash forever

the league is made not to give exposure to a weak region, its made for a tier 1 competition

  • for exposure there's ascension/other tournaments to improve regionally first then compete internationally.

What happened to RRQ when they had no indonesian on their roster?

Great point. people simply don't understand you are not in franchise to be developing talent you are there to win the league and go to the international events.

The reason ge got the slot is too represent sa val and bring up talent. If they don't trust their own region to improve overtime by giving them opportunities to play at the highest level then what's the point of trying to win trophies.

emea has 3 spanish organizations but you don't see everyone bitching about being only 1 spanish player in their roster because they understand there are there to win thats why Tier 1 exist. If ge want so develop talent they are simply wasting a slot for a stronger team who could make overall apac stronger in the long run.

dude theres ascension for developing talent.
If indian players cannot do well atleast against ascension level teams, whats the point of bringing them to T1 level competition just to lose all their games
GE first has to first establish themselves in the ecosystem and when any good T1-worthy candidates show up, GE will pick them up
Rn theres no one in india who i consider to be T1-ready except some who have potential and thats the sad truth

Let them decide who they want to support!!!

Don't force others to support team just cuz the org is Indian.

Apac fans are only thinking small here if they want to win a world title the first step is to get rid of filler teams who are only there to fill spots. Because if not the usual suspects are going to win the league the PRX ,DRX etc.. make your league stronger not weaker.
